Jeremy has written a letter to all the parents welcoming them and their children to a new season of Football at WEZWA, that started on Sunday 18th September 2011. Please click here to read the letter or use the link in the navigation menu, "Letter from Jeremy" under "Latest News".

All the funds were raised at the WEZWA end of season tournament on behalf of one of our members, Oliver Mounsey. Oliver has recently been treated on the ward and will continue to receive treatment there over the coming months. A big thank you to everybody who helped raise the funds on the day and wishing Oliver a speedy and full recovery.
Wezembeek Wanderers under-nines came first in the tournament at Lasne on Saturday 7 May, winning all five games.
Our joy was tempered by Pablo Suarez splitting his lip in a clash with another player. Pablo, who scored four goals in that match, had to go to hospital but did not need a stitch. Well done boys and trainers on achieving the best-ever result of a Wezwa team at a tournament!
Please see our letter to all members, parents, trainers and helpers regarding the late notice last week. Please click here to read it. Thank you.
The ordering for WEZWA kit is now closed. Thank you to all the club members for their orders. As soon as we have details of the expected delivery dates we will announce it here.
We start again on September 19th at 10.30 am. Please try to get there 15 minutes early so that we can get all the admin sorted and really start the football on time. There will be an info desk next to the portacabin so everyone gets to the right place.
Please note that it is car free day on the 17th so take necessary precautions. If you cannot make it the first week, you will not lose your place in the club, don't worry.
We have been warned that the police are going to start touring the roads near the football pitches every time the BSB have a weekend booking, and will not hesitate to fine or even tow illegally parked cars ... so you have been warned!
Reminder from the BSB: The roads leading to the fields are rather narrow and not meant for heavy traffic. Moreover inconsiderate parking may cause a nuisance to residents in the area and more importantly may impede an ambulance’s access to the Fields in case of an emergency. Please park near the Elephant opposite the African Museum and walk up to the fields. Thank you.
Sign up for drink duty for the new year!! The rota can be found here.
During winter weather (after halloween break until Easter break), we will indicate on the site whether football is on or not. This will be on the front page. Check at 9.30 am on the Sunday morning for confirmation.
During summer weather (From Easter to Halloween), we will make no indication unless either football is canceled or there is a pitch change.
In all cases - no news equals good news ... no indication means that football is ON
Watch this space
The club is full. We will take names for the waiting list, but there is no guarantee of places.
Please fill out a membership application form and we will get in touch with you as soon as there is a space available.
There are always various items of lost property. We keep a lost property box in the container. If you have lost anything, ask a trainer.
In case you have concerns about photos of your kids, please see the WEZWA website policy at the top of each page.
Photos
As you can imagine, the site would be a bit dull without the odd photo of our kids. Asking you permission for every child on a group photo could be difficult. However, we would like to ensure that no children are identified in photos without express permission. So, to simplify things, if anyone objects to any photo posted, please contact us via the "contact us" form, specifying the photo and if it is a group photo, we will obscure your child's face so that it is not recognisable, and if it is a close-up shot, it will be removed immediately.
