Wezembeek Wanderers Football Club was started back in 1990 by a number of parents and volunteers. The objective is to provide a fun and friendly environment for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beautiful game, football. This principle provides the foundation for the club today.
From humble beginnings on a muddy pitch behind the church in Wezembeek-Oppem the club eventually moved to its current training location, the British School of Brussels (BSB) fields in Tervuren. This allowed the club to expand numbers and acquire better equipment.
Further expansion took place a few years ago with the utilization of all three grass pitches at the BSB and occasionally the synthetic pitches, if necessary, due to the weather, for example. Current membership is around 180 children and 25 trainers and volunteers.
We try to enter local Belgian tournaments (often in the spring) as a test of the WEZWZA players' abilities, with increasing success. WEZWA is more than just training; we do try to turn out footballers who can hold their own in 'real' games.
The club is unfortunately completely full. If you wish to sign up to the waiting list, please fill in a WEZWA Registration Form.

Training is every Sunday morning from 10.30 to 12.00 starting in mid-September and running until mid-June the following year. We do take breaks around the school holidays and public holidays.
Photos
As you can imagine, the site would be a bit dull without the odd photo of our kids. Asking you permission for every child on a group photo could be difficult. However, we would like to ensure that no children are identified in photos without express permission. So, to simplify things, if anyone objects to any photo posted, please contact us via the "contact us" form, specifying the photo and if it is a group photo, we will obscure your child's face so that it is not recognisable, and if it is a close-up shot, it will be removed immediately.
