WEZWA is in Summer break.  We are now waiting to see how many players leave before opening the waiting lists.

Wezembeek Wanderers:  Football for the Young

Shoot!Wezembeek Wanderers Football Club was started back in 1990 by a number of parents and volunteers. The objective is to provide a fun and friendly environment for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beautiful game, football. This principle provides the foundation for the club today.

From humble beginnings on a muddy pitch behind the church in Wezembeek-Oppem the club eventually moved to its current training location, the British School of Brussels (BSB) fields in Tervuren. This allowed the club to expand numbers and acquire better equipment.

Further expansion took place a few years ago with the utilization of all three grass pitches at the BSB and occasionally the synthetic pitches, if necessary, due to the weather, for example. Current membership is around 180 children and 25 trainers and volunteers.

We try to enter local Belgian tournaments (often in the spring) as a test of the WEZWZA players' abilities, with increasing success. WEZWA is more than just training; we do try to turn out footballers who can hold their own in 'real' games.
